We were on a recent ski holiday, queuing for the chairlift when it suddenly closed, the rescue helicopter landed right in front of the queue, the queue was building up with a lot of skiers. An injured skier was brought along by the rescue team, she was quite badly injured, her kids were distraught, her partner / husband was trying to console her and support the poor kids. This was all happening in front of the huge queue of people. They had to move the lady from the sled to the thing for moving her into the helicopter, it was clear she was in a lot of pain. Suddenly a person stepped out of the queue and stated videoing all of the goings on, two other people confronted this person and screamed at her, how it was disrespectful and told her to put her phone away, she wouldn't, said it was none of their business, there were almost a hundred people watching anyway and why didn't he tell everyone to turn their backs to what was going on. We were a captive 'audience' so to speak. I was in tears seeing her poor kids, who were totally distraught at their Mom being taken away by helicopter. it was a horrible experience to witness, made worse by the screaming and arguing (swearing etc) of the people confronting the person filming. I just don't get why people feel the need to do this.
