Sterilization at same time as C-section

I've been offered the choice to be sterilized at same time as having my c-section. I'm struggling to make a decision whether I want to or not. The finality of it is quite scary and I've not had much advice and no kind of counselling to help make the decision.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has been through this and can chat about it please?
I'm 28 currently pregnant with child 3.

I was offered it prior to my 3rd section and 4th child.
At first I was absolutely certain I wanted it done but on the day of elcs, I declined. The finality of it all while preparing to give birth was really confusing. I didn’t know what I wanted right at that time as I was anxious about the impending section and safe delivery.

I am absolutely certain we won’t have anymore. So it’s dh turn to get himself sorted.

And I was 32 at the time.

CEL91 I don't know if every hospital offers it but mine allows you to get the coil during your c section. The midwife said it's very accurate as they can make sure it's all in place. And effective immediately.
Then all they do is check you strings are in place at the 6 week check.

@PleaseGiveMeAShake I have an appointment with my consultant next week. I will check and see if they are able to put the coil in.

If you get sterilised at the same time as a c section do you have to take the blood thinner injections or is there something else you can take.Im a real needle phobic and that's all I'm worried about.they are using cream to get the canula in for me

My pal asked for it at 33 on her 4th C section. Her consultant refused, said she was too young and could potentially change her mind etc. She was adamant she was done with children but Consultant wouldn't budge.

I had it done at the birth of my 3rd. I was 38 and absolutely didnt want any more children. Had no problems at all and it was a huge relief to have it done
