And a nice lunch after?

Manchester art museum is good and has explorer bags you can borrow aimed at specific age ranges

The imperial war museum, over in Salford, although I think the youngest could find parts distressing so you would have to take a view.

Crazy golf? There are quite a few now.

Wind tunnel at Trafford centre next door to the snow dome.

You could do a couple of activities

Horsemad · 01/01/2020 20:36

Escape rooms?

dampplug · 01/01/2020 21:24

www.winterfunland.com at event city near the Trafford centre.

This is really good and is on for a couple more days. Not sure how many of you there are so don't know if it's within budget

Mother87 · 01/01/2020 21:30

Tree Top Trek @ Heaton Park (20 mins bus ride from city centre)

EggysMom · 01/01/2020 21:31

Crazy golf - there's one in the corner of the Printworks, there's another out by Chill Factor-e in Trafford.

Potcallingkettle · 01/01/2020 21:33

Total Ninja is amazing and has courses for different ages. Book by the hour.

Or try climbing. Rock Over in the city centre is a great venue with a bit of everything including soft play and parkour classes. Plus there is Manchester Climbing Centre for roped climbing or The Depot for bouldering.

LunaAzul · 01/01/2020 21:36

Chill Factore would be my go to.

There's also a VR place next to Cafe Rouge in the food area of the Trafford Centre - DD10 noticed it this weekend and now wants to visit for a sloth experience...

Theromanempire · 01/01/2020 21:38

If they like football, the National Football Museum is in the centre of the city and is full of football history items plus they have some interactive football activities like taking penalties/being a goalkeeper.
