Rollerbird · 28/12/2019 16:34

I have posted in exercise but no replies.

Anyone recommend a re-usable High impact pessary?
For jumping, skipping, weight lifting etc?
I have seen a pelvic floor physio and am doing kegel exercises but need extra help for now.
Using inco pad and tampon but not enough

Sorry to sound dim (and sorry I cant help you) but how does a tampon help incontinence?

Rollerbird · 28/12/2019 17:02

Pressure on the urethra. Helps prevent leaks.

As does jamming loo roll up, but a tampon at least has a string

Have you seen your GP about this?

Pinkbonbon · 28/12/2019 17:09

Just diet instead and take up walking.
That's weight loss and health benefits sorted with no need to pee oneself.

Unless you just need to tone up there's no need to do full workouts. And tbh, is toning up worth it?

Contiform. It's not perfect (I think mine of them are) but I can't really run without it ...

mylittlefidget · 28/12/2019 17:11

None of them are

Rollerbird · 28/12/2019 17:19

I've seen the gp, and been to see physio. Waiting for another appointment. Pelvic floor exercises ongoing but not sufficient.
Will try contiform. Thanks - suggestions like this are what I was after. Smile
I'm not overweight and exercise a lot.

I've this weird little device like a slender tone for your Elvin flor off of amazon. It's amazing. Does your exercises for you whilst you are watching the tv. I do do lots of pelvic floor stuff as am PT but this thing is brilliant.

Bloomburger · 28/12/2019 17:21

It's called a tenscare on Amazon

Rollerbird · 28/12/2019 17:23

Will look that up thanks @bloomburger
@mylittlefidget how did you choose what size to get? They are normal or super

OP posts:
Bloomburger · 28/12/2019 18:08

Oooohhh think it's normal the one I have.

Bloomburger · 28/12/2019 18:11

Tenscare I touch £56.99. It's got a billet shaped inserty thong with silver on the sides, not the long one with 2 rings round.

Elieza · 28/12/2019 18:41

Be careful using tampons for toxic shock. Pads defo safer as no risk. Good luck with your exercises OP. Fingers crossed they will help.

InvisibleToEveryone · 28/12/2019 19:17

@Rollerbird oh ok.

Sorry If I appeared rude, couldn't work out how it helped.

Thank you for explaining.

Rollerbird · 28/12/2019 19:38

Note to younger self :
Pelvic floor exercises and sunscreen 😉

I have ordered a product called Incostress from Boots. Its made from silicone so at least it will be a one time purchase.
I liked the look of the contiform but on reading reviews it says it has a limited number of uses before needing replacing.
I will feedback! Incase it helps anyone searching in future 😉

Update :
Been using the Incostress for a week and a half. I think I can see some small improvements. Will review in a few weeks

Recently diagnosed with rectocele. No incontinence. But apparently running could make it worse. Would a tampon work for this? I bought some in case

peanutfoldover · 11/01/2020 22:02

www.uresta.com/

This is getting good reviews in the trade.

EVB sport shorts for perineal support (should there be any prolapse for example).
