Did anyone find any of the old wives tales to be of any use or is it as I fear, just a load of bs? I have 3 days before induction and he’s shown no signs of coming out.

I had double strength Raspberry Leaf Tea, baths with Clary Sage oil, Evening Primrose Oil pessary, loads of orgasms, loads of exercise... But I think what really worked was the ugly snotty crying fit I had at the injustice of not going into labour on my own... It was really cleansing and I felt so much more peaceful afterwards, and the nexy day my contractions began Smile

Induction it is then
So upset

BREASTPUMP!!! I induced a very slow on/off labour to contractions coming regularly.
Sit on a ball and whack it on, there are schedules available online. You can feel the contractions building!

@QueenArseClangers
Tried this . Should I actually expect anything to come out or is it just the stimulation that works?

I had some colostrum come out after expressing for 5 minutes every 15 (I think?). Just saved it in the freezer.
I did it with two labours successfully.

Relaxing... I had a glass of bubbly and went into labour that evening. May be coincidence though!

A TENS machine. We weren't allowed to practice with them before 37 weeks in case labour started. On my due date I was desperate to have him or he would have been born in September.
I whacked the machine up as hard as I could bear and I started contractions within an hour of taking it off.
I'm probably the only MNer that wanted an August baby. Saved me 7k in nursery fees Grin

@Northernsoullover

I have never considered that before. I've got three summers so I guess that means £21k saved Shock
