A case for dentures/false teeth

WorraLiberty · 26/12/2019 16:33

Are you on FB?

If so, post it on a museum page. They should tell you what it is.

The mark above the number reminds me of a broad arrow which could denote that it was government issue...although it would usually be the other way up

Holder for a desk or counter stamp sponge?

Miljea · 26/12/2019 18:29

The V shape made me think 'something official', as in government/ordnance survey issue.

It seems far too robust for something that might sit on a desk. I'll weigh it later and find some 'everyday' comparisons.

Palavah is nearly right, it’s a denture flask used to make dentures

Miljea · 26/12/2019 23:26

Robin, tell me more!

does a mini cheer and prepares to appear on Flog It

RobinHumphries · 27/12/2019 08:07

Here’s a YouTube video that will explain it far better than I ever could
I don’t think the process has changed much as you can still buy brass flasks.

Miljea · 27/12/2019 16:40

Ah ha! My parents had this for YEARS with no idea what it was!

Thanks!
