It's no "naice ham" but WTF is PB and Stephi Juice??

Found in a basket at Sainsbury's today.

Put some used wrapping paper behind it just to be festive

PB is probably peanut butter.

MrsMozartMkII · 21/12/2019 18:55

I agree - peanut butter.

AfterSchoolWorry · 21/12/2019 18:55

Peanut butter

Stephen juice?! 😝

BrandoraPaithwaite · 21/12/2019 18:56

Yes! Although this is Yorkshire not USA!

Stephi juice is the specific juice Stephanie likes to drink. Any idea what kind of drink Stephanies like?!

BrandoraPaithwaite · 21/12/2019 18:57

Unless the second word isn't juice...

I wonder whether it is a bread muffin or a cake muffin?

Lllot5 · 21/12/2019 19:00

Could be jam but there’s a dot above the i there. Do people still name their babies Steve? Must be juice for him.

birdsarecute45 · 21/12/2019 19:29

'salad bag'?

Much better name for it than what DH calls it which is 'leaves'.

birdsarecute45 · 21/12/2019 19:31

it;s a sad list really, Where is the port, icecream and chocolate?

BrandoraPaithwaite · 21/12/2019 19:38

I've got an image of an elderly person in a sheltered housing bungalow who will be having Christmas dinner at the local old folks centre, but is looking forward to a visit from a beloved niece, Stephie, who loved a certain type of juice and a peanut butter muffin when she was little.

😁funny adding one muffin to a shopping list. Not sure why

Lochroy · 21/12/2019 19:56

It could be Steph's juice - someone who likes something specific?

Graphista · 21/12/2019 20:18

Yea juice for stephi

If anyone had ever found my shopping lists they'd have found many items

"Dd initial" juice/cheese/pud/bread/jam - she's a fussy bugger! But the initial would probably have thrown people

Just trying to think of my weird initials/abbreviations but can't off top of my head right now.

Anyone else have funny ones they use?

I also tend to use brand names when I'm not necessarily buying the brand but the item associated with it - eg I'd write "marmite" but buy supermarket own yeast extract, write "shreddies" or "hob nobs" but again be getting supermarkets own version

So if anyone saw it they'd think I was a brand snob spending a fortune! Grin

BikeRunSki · 21/12/2019 20:22

I use PB for Peanut butter
Also, WUL for washing up liquid

Osquito · 21/12/2019 20:26

Ooh I’ve got one I found; the last bit is curious, and makes me wonder if it was a lonely person looking forward to a bit of talk with cashiers etc:

Doublethesarcasm · 21/12/2019 20:28

@Osquito chat/ real people are magazines

B0bbin · 21/12/2019 20:35

Mmm chicken paste and cheap chicken.

BrandoraPaithwaite · 21/12/2019 20:37

Also 'blades' is quite sinister!!

OP posts:
Boireannachlaidir · 21/12/2019 20:43

Have you just found it @Osquito ? Shock

"Cheap chicken" doesn't quite have the same je ne sais quoi as "naice ham".

Osquito · 22/12/2019 09:00

@Doublethesarcasm Ohhh! Well that’s a relief, kept picturing a little old pensioner on their own...

@Boireannachlaidir I found it a while it ago in my shopping basket, and tucked it into my wallet (where I forgot about it until this thread). ‘Cheap chicken’ is the new naice ham, we live in tough times Grin

ALongHardWinter · 22/12/2019 19:04

I thought the last item said 'salad boy'. Hmm
