Help! What can I get for SIL?

Can you suggest what would be a good gift for my SIL please? I’ve already got her something she requested but I need to spend another £15 approximately (long story but it’s a secret Santa thing we are trying this year Xmas Hmm)
She’s mid thirties and I am really struggling to think of anything she’d like. Please give me some suggestions, thank you.

Well what was the thing she suggested and already got?

I'd like a nice lip gloss of mini mascara from benefit... or bottle of gin :)

Izzabellasasperella · 20/12/2019 10:06

I always try to think about the person, what they like, hobbies and interests, if they've mentioned something they love. If I'm really stuck I might go onto their Facebook and see if I can get any ideas from bands ect they've posted

Bottle of gin or other spirits if she drinks alcohol.

I would get her an Aesop lip cream or a Molton Brown hand cream (each of which about £10) and a box of chocolates.

SerenaVanDerWoodsen · 20/12/2019 10:27

Thank you for the suggestions. She asked for some trainers, which I got for her. She’s not a drinker, so alcohol is out. She doesn’t really have any hobbies, doesn’t read etc so that’s partly why I’m struggling. The lip balm or hand balm options sound good, I’ll have a look. Thanks very much Smile

I'd get a nice lipstick or nail varnish.

CanISpeakToYourManager · 20/12/2019 11:47

Scented candle
Hot water bottle with plush cover
Really soft fluffy socks
Cushion

whatsinthebagwhatcoulditbe · 20/12/2019 14:05

You could also get a mini Diptyque candle for about £20. Always a fancy treat.

Redken24 · 20/12/2019 14:07

Kat von d Christmas cracker,
La roche posey cicaplast,

JaJoJe · 20/12/2019 17:47

trainers, so is she into fitness or is it her fashion style?

Either way you could go along that route.

SerenaVanDerWoodsen · 20/12/2019 19:39

They’re fashion trainers, she’s not into sport. Thanks everyone for your ideas, it’s really helped Xmas Smile

Chunky pillar candles on a plate?
Some fun twinkle lights?
A blanket with pompoms?
Hand soap and moisturizer?
A Bluetooth speaker? I saw a good one recommended on here and I think it's gone down to about £15. It's on Amazon. (Can't remember any more about it, sorry.)
A contigo coffee flask?

SandAndSea · 20/12/2019 19:49

Just looked up the speaker and it's £21.99, so probably too much.

katy1213 · 20/12/2019 19:59

Diptyque candle would be lovely.

greenlavender · 21/12/2019 13:46

@katy1213 - for £15?

whatsinthebagwhatcoulditbe · 21/12/2019 18:31

Eek, it was me that suggested a mini Diptyque candle as I thought they were about £20, but having just checked, they've gone up to £27!! So not a great suggestion, apologies!

LadyOfTheCanyon · 21/12/2019 20:13

I think spending £15 on something most people wouldn't spend £15 on is always a nice treat, ie a posh lipstick or nail varnish. Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier have started their sales- about 30% off some bits. Neals Yard body wash?

katy1213 · 22/12/2019 01:14

Sorry, I also thought they were about £20 last time I looked. Though might be worth looking on ebay.

KenAdams · 22/12/2019 01:41

Chunky cardigan if she wears fashion trainers with jeans a lot?

SageRosemary · 22/12/2019 02:12

A Clarins shower gel, or if you are near a L'Occitane store one of their neutral ones, they are always beautifully presented in a store gift bag.

HolyChickpea · 22/12/2019 03:26

Scratch cards!

Honeybee85 · 22/12/2019 03:43

A pair of fancy sports socks?
A waterbottle?

ScorchioScorchio · 23/12/2019 12:38

A cook book if she likes to cook. I would recommend any Diana Henry one - her recipes are wonderful.
