Have NC but as the name shows 2019 has been a particularly rough year, not just for me but for many people I know. So can you all please share your happy positive stories of 2019 just to show me it's not all been doom and gloom.

Tried for DC2 for almost 2 years and he's due right after New Years, looking forward to starting the new decade as a family of 4 :)

A family member survived major surgery this year. It was touch and go and we came so close to loosing them over the space of 9 months. We can now enjoy Christmas all together with no hospitals. Amazing 😍
Sorry your year has been rubbish.

See I knew there would be some good in this year, Thank you all for sharing, my positives are that I've found out who my true friends are and I'll be forever thankful for them being here. I'm also positive that 2020 will be a much better year for me

Ddog had surgery for cancer in April.

That couch corner is popular in our house...
I wish I could loan out our husky for hugs - she brightens my mood just by seeing her face. Her ears drop down and she gazes at us with such love!

@Winterdaysarehere I wish you could as well, I would be the 1st in the queue. I don't have a dog myself but I do have daily access to the soppiest cuddliest dog ever and he never fails to brighten my day.

I've finished treatment for cancer, had a clear scan, and am feeling so incredibly cheerful, very much looking forward to Christmas!
On top of that, we've had several bits of good luck recently, including getting reimbursed for the excess we had to pay to get our car fixed after someone drove into it and failed to stop, in January - I never thought we'd see that money again.

ParanoidGynodroid · 16/12/2019 23:22

Wintery your lovely dogs again! I think I saw them on another thread, too. Glad your girl is better.

A very difficult year here in the Gynodroid household, too. But we’ve been lucky financially and, better still, had a new family member recently...

Oo black dcats are the best - we had one who took over the whole hearth rug and never let ddog even put a paw on it!!

Kinsters · 17/12/2019 08:03

2018 ended with me just having had a miscarriage (year ago to the day), being really unhappy at work, no friends, just feeling a bit lost really.

I'm now nine months pregnant, have moved house and switched jobs, found a really nice group of people who could become friends and am just so much happier than I've been for ages. I hope 2020 is much better for you than 2019 has been.

2019candoone · 17/12/2019 11:12

@Kinsters that's a lovely way to finish the year, congratulations on the baby
