When do people send Christmas cards

I posted the majority of my cards 2nd class on Saturday, so I guess they will arrive to people Wednesday. But I only have received 2 cards so far. I feel I was really late on doing these. I have a massive family and I always send cards to family and close friends.

Is it the thing to only send to people that send to you ? I love a nice Christmas card.

Pretty much everything is ‘wasteful’ if you want to look at it that way. Or you can look at the pleasure someone will get out of having received it and decide it’s NOT ‘wasteful’

Yes it costs money, but I think it’s money well spent uf it brings a bit of cheer to someone, especially those I don’t get to see as often as I’d like, who appreciate being remembered at Christmas 🎄

I only send to elderly relatives and cousins, I don’t expect to receive many either, what waste of money

I have yet to write mine. I am hoping to have done them before Christmas, rather than after.

@CustomerCervixDepartment. Don’t be daft, how can you ‘not understand the point of cards’? And how else should I ‘bother’ with people who live all around the world & the length & breadth of the UK?

You don’t need to agree, but being unpleasant about others choices isn’t very nice now is it?

Due to commitments (theirs & mine) it’s not always easy to see more local friends as often as I’d like, but birthday/Christmas cards are a nice way to say ‘you’re in my thoughts even though we haven’t met up in far too long!’

I posted the last of mine today - apart from one person I'd forgotten about! We get a lot (we are quite old, and send 60+) and have probably had about a third of the final total by now. Honestly, I would like to stop most of them! But I don't really know how.

Chipping can you not think of one other way you could possibly keep in touch with a person at any time of the year? Are you sure? You can google that. There’s about 10 ways that don’t involve landfill tat, which would also be more interactive and meaningful.
I don’t exist to ‘be nice about others choices’ on the internet. HTH
