....and especially if you've ever marched/campaigned for a 'People's Vote' or indulged in a bit of Leaver or Tory shaming on Twitter or facebook, can I have your comments on this please?

It's Jonathan Pie, in case you don't want to click without knowing what it is.

The Labour Party has been proven to be anti Semitic. Yet labour supporters for some reason just won’t swallow that. They lost a shit load of votes because of it.

The manifesto looked too good to be true. Come on.. free WiFi in every ones house? The WASPI women pledge.. where is the money coming from.

Lots of people didn’t have faith in JC in regards to protecting the UK.

A LOT of labour voters did not like or trust JC.

Diane Abbott. Need I say more.

Over half the country voted to leave. They won the majority and have been called racist, thick, bigots...

Labour put a man in a coveted woman only role and then two days before JC was quoted on changing language concerning women’s rights even more - that lost him votes.

Because of this weird refusal that labour was no where near where labour should be - we lost. Thanks.

He's a comedian (whether you agree he's funny or not is a different matter).

I voted labour as a tactical vote in my constituency (didn't work) and am a staunch remainer. Honestly, I've been called some horrid things because of my views so there are horrid people all round the political spectrum. I do not believe I am a traitor for example because I wanted a second referendum.

The blame for Johnson lies at the feet of those who voted for him.

I think you are missing the point. Funny - there seem to be quite a few rather obtuse people on this thread, pretending to not know what my point is.

It's the working class Labour voters who were neglected, derided and ignored by the very people who are supposed to represent them who gave Boris his healthy majority, but doing everything they could to thwart Brexit.

sorry, last sentence was a bit garbled, I'll rephrase. Just in case anyone else wants to pretend is struggling to understand.

It's the working class Labour Leave voters who were neglected, derided, insulted and ignored by the very people who purport to have their backs, who turned to Boris and voted in sufficient number to give him a healthy majority. This was a direct result of the aforementioned people (including many middle class left wing London-centrics) doing everything they could to thwart Brexit.

I did not vote for him, nor did I vote for Brexit. I wash my hands of the whole thing

Me too. Neither did I vote Tory in 2015, thus enabling the referendum.

I did vote Libdem in 2010 (and thereafter) so perhaps if you want to blame Nick Clegg and tuition fees for the whole thing, I was culpable.

And it wasn't remainers trying to thwart Brexit, it was the ERGers because May's deal wasn't brexity enough and because she was a woman

Our town has almost no immigrants but people still moan and make comments which are undoubtedly racist.

Heaven forfend that people should be concerned about anything unless it's going on in their own backyard. Hmm What a weird thing to say.

I've got to the point where I take 'they say racist things' with a hige pinch of salt unless I hear it for myself. Clearly for some people, expressing concern over any issue to do immigration or freedom of movement whatsover, no matter how valid, is racist by default.

I do not live in North London so could not vote for Corbyn

I love Jonathon Pie - his rants are legendary and he was brilliant live

And actually he is bang on in this video as well

Not nearly as weird as a shopkeeper saying there were no xmas decorations in the street "because of all the Muslims" then, when I expressed surprise, had to admit that 3 out of around 50 shops were owned by Muslims! Oh and admitting that the Muslim in the shop next door always sent him a xmas card.

In the last 3 years I hear ( where I rarely did before ) that there are so many immigrants "ruining the town". Latest council stats show it is over 90% white British and judging by what I see I'd say that was right.

I'm also not sure what the OP wants or what this guy is trying to say. It's supposed to be funny, I guess, so are we meant to be agreeing with him or laughing at him and disagreeing with what he says?
I voted remain, and voted labour (with many misgivings) and it's true that most of the people I know did the same, but I think that's true of everyone, we find it more comfortable to be surrounded by people who think similarly to us. I'm not going to be best mates with someone who routinely talks about 'benefit scroungers/muslims taking over/political correctness gone mad' nor someone who enjoys fox hunting or thinks climate change is nonsense.

That doesn't mean I'd be rude to that person, or think they're stupid. I just don't want them as a friend.

does that answer your question OP?
