Presents that fulfill this criteria.

I'd be grateful if anybody can help with this:
What presents would fulfill this criteria:

A large ish present that would make a sack look fuller.
Preferably a toy.
Something that could be taken out and played with straight away (so not a science kit/slime/magic kit with thousands of fiddly bits)
Under £10
For a 7-8 year old boy.

One sack is looking miserably empty compared to the other due to lots of pyjamas, annuals, gadgets that are all small.

I used to disguise presents in all sorts of boxes. Definitely made the present pile bigger.

How about a football in a box?

Inflatable toys, ready inflated.
Best ever toy for my then 10 year was an inflatable banana. It was played with solidly for 6 months, and has become a running theme.(If you don't mind every one getting hit by it)
The works and Poundland have things like snowmen and candy canes.
He got an inflatable lightsabre one year. Also popular.

I also fill out sacks with things like boxes of (very sweet and bad for you) breakfast cereal, 2 litre bottles of fizzy pop which is their own 'personal' one. 6 pack of pop cans etc.
But that doesn't fulfil your toy requirement.

twisique I read your post as meaning a hungry hippos fleece blanket and wondered why I had never seen such a thing. I want a fleece blanket with pictures of hungry hippos on!

Glitterygracie · 14/12/2019 14:56

You lot are brilliant, some great ideas here, thanks!

Sounds good! Also shows how useful correct punctuation is, especially commas! Grin

I second inflatable toys - they are cheap, big when blown up and small when let down and make an impact.

Nerf guns are good too, Argos had a decent sized one for £8.

Games can bulk things out too, even silly games like poo head etc...

Pillows can be bulky but affordable too if you can find one with his favorite characters on.

DD got a fleece blanket that you wriggle into that looks like a killer whale, he loves it!
