Does anyone use night time driving lens/glasses?

I have prescription glasses for reading and driving combined with the anti glare coating.
I have seen the night time driving glasses on Amazon with the yellow lens. These fit over prescription glasses and are supposed tilo be great.

Does anybody use them, any good?

I looked into these but apparently they don't actually help with night vision and can be dangerous www.reviewofoptometry.com/article/yellow-lenses-no-help-in-night-driving

I have a terrible astigmatism and as a result, driving at night is awful. Lights stretch and blur to a ridiculous extent, and don't even get me started on how bad it is when it's raining!

I've heard of these but apparently they are dangerous as they make things darker. I'm disappointed as I'd love a solution to it.

I don’t have astigmatism though my DC do but find driving at night really difficult and sometimes scary. I get the whole streaking thing and halos and am frequently driving almost blind with oncoming traffic. I’d also be very interested in knowing what can be done to minimise the issue.

i have some.
My opinion is that they do make things seem a bit darker but i dont believe it has made it harder for me to see pedestrians etc. I do find that the yellow tinge helps with the dazzle of car headlights and helps with the new brighter street lights that we have around me.

I only use them when its completely dark - not dusk and i wouldn't use them if i was on lanes with no streetlights and not much traffic as they do make things seem dark. but on main roads with lots of traffic i find they do help a bit.

My sister has some and she loves them. She has to drive a lot for work and says they really help with the headlight glare/dazzle. I'm considering getting some myself.

I have some glasses I got from the optician. I mentioned during a routine eye test that I was nervous driving at night as I was being dazzled by incoming headlights and I was finding it difficult to judge the traffic when pulling out of junctions at night, because of the dazzle I couldn’t judge ho far away vehicles were. Optician prescribed prescription glasses with a antidazzle coating just to use in the car . I chose a really cheap frame as was only keeping them in the car, they are actually great, things are so much clearer and no dazzle . They weren’t expensive at all. Hope this helps.

Just to add to my previous post, I also use them during the day when driving, they just make things much clearer etc and they’re grey when your eyes are tired.

That’s great not grey 🙈

I have anti dazzle coating but it's useless against super bright headlights. I've got myself some yellow clip ons because I think being able to see anything at all has got to be better than being completely blinded.

Haven't tried them yet tho
