I’m in a safe Labour seat and think it’s unlikely to change.

Tory seat currently with a large majority - but it's one of the Spartans who consistently voted against Teresa May's deal but is sending out election material now shouting about getting Brexit done with Boris. So either he's inconsistent, worried about his job or doesn't back women as he wouldn't vote for a better deal previously.

I am hoping for a LD win or at least a severe denting of his majority. Labour has no chance here. The constituency next to us is a marginal and all efforts have gone into that one rather than ours. Also, another constituency about half an hour away from us has had major job losses as a result of Brexit so that's going to be an interesting one too.

The Scottish results are going to be interesting because SNP and the second referendum on independance wasn't a winner for them last time but Brexit might make a difference there now.

Very safe Tory seat where I live unfortunately

FthisS · 12/12/2019 10:24

A long standing tory seat here but last election it was so close for labour, the same woman is standing for labour and she is fantastic. I'm off to canvas in a bit and I hope so much she takes it.

TheHumanSatsuma · 12/12/2019 10:25

I want the constituency to not be Tory. Fat chance as it has been since 1895, but I live in hope

massistar · 12/12/2019 10:27

In a key marginal. Labour won by 27 votes in last election and desperately hope they hang on to it. Sitting MP is fantastic.

ChristmasCroissant · 12/12/2019 10:27

Having just checked the share of votes more thoroughly, perhaps I was a bit harsh on Labour there, as they did increase their share of the vote - unfortunately so did the Tory, he had 60 per cent Sad

I'm off to vote now.

Kit30 · 12/12/2019 10:29

Safe Labour seat here and best I can hope for is a reduced majority sufficient to make the party think twice about some of its misogynistic, anti Semitic attitudes and policies. Dream on

ProfYaffle · 12/12/2019 10:34

Safe Tory seat. Would love our MP to go, he's so complacent he never shows his face during election campaigns and has never responded to me whenever I've written to him.

kierenthecommunity · 12/12/2019 11:56

Our seat swung from a traditional although not safe Tory seat to Labour in 97 and has stayed that way since. Inexplicably the MP has increased his majority significantly although he dodged a bullet during the expenses scandal and I’m astonished he gor away with it.

I imagine he’ll keep the seat though. I have nothing against Labour but can’t stand him as an individual.

BearSoFair · 12/12/2019 12:02

I want Labour to hold, and feels very safe to say they will. We're one of the 10 safest Labour seats nationally.

Lily193 · 12/12/2019 12:04

Tory voter. One of the safest Tory seats in England with a high profile candidate so expecting no change. The Labour candidate openly admitted he wouldn't even canvas in my town because supposedly everyone's rich here - a weak coward who has repeatedly attempted to smear the Tory candidate throughout his campaign while avoiding taking a stand on the key issues in his ward.

RudolphIsMySpiritAnimal · 12/12/2019 12:10

I actually think we stand a decent chance of ousting our despicable sitting Tory in favour of a decent Lib Dem.

I'm a Labour supporter but they stand no chance here, and the Lib Dem candidate seems like a good egg, so....

Nationally I'm nowhere near as optimistic though.

FanSpamTastic · 12/12/2019 12:12

Current Tory seat - been Tory for about 100 years. Hoping tomorrow it will be LibDem!

muddledmidget · 12/12/2019 12:15

Always been a safe blue seat here, by a large majority 51%, lib dems next on 29% of the vote. However it may change (or is that wishful thinking on my part?!) Letwin had held the seat for over 20 years I think, but he had been kicked out the party and had already decided not to stand again, local council is lib dem, plus I've hardly seen any campaigning other than a few leaflets dropped through the door from the conservatives. Plus it's really cold and wet, might put a few off voting

ShinyGiratina · 12/12/2019 13:25

I'll stay a safe seat with a XX,000 majority. Too safe for a tactical vote.
I have no enthusiasm for anyone on offer and have been seriously toying with spoiling. I think however, I may go Lib Dem for their proportional representation agenda. I respect their stance on Brexit but politely disagree.

Meanwhile a certain Prime Minister has been within two miles of me at a very marginal seat that is likely to go from red to blue (unless red is currently grey Confused)

The joy of arbitary political boundaries!

As much as I loathe the current state of the Conservatives, I think we do need a majority to move the current stuck state of politics out of its stalemate 🙈

I shall go to the polling station to maintain my rights to whinge about them allGrin

ChristmasCroissant · 12/12/2019 22:51

The exit poll for my constituency have predicted a 99+% chance of it remaining Tory Sad I hope the exit polls are wrong but we'll see, ours doesn't declare until around 5.00am and might be later if the turnout is high.
