What would you like to know? Most people in the uk call it home education

I pulled my daughter out of school in year 8, due to severe bullying. She is now in year 10 and attends a college with a 14-16 unit, two days a week. This will allow her to do GCSEs!

We have been using IXL.com, as it is curriculum based, by year. It's reasonably priced too. There are free recourses out there too.

As regards de-registering, just Google deregistration letter England, assuming that's where you are. The laws are different in Scotland, you have to obtain permission!

Mostly, chill out, enjoy time with her. My girly has gone from an almost shell of a person, to a super confident amazing young woman! It's the best thing I could have done! Having said that, no way would I HE my DS!

We home-ed our 4 who have never been to school, and are now aged 16,14, 10 and 8. We're unusual in that I’m an ex teacher, hubby still teaches, and we largely ‘unschool’ until age 11/12, so no formal work unless the child asks to do some. We’re based in Lincolnshire and attend weekly home-ed activities in Norfolk and North Cambs: home-edders are everywhere these days! 😁 Happy to chat directly if you’d like to.
