How can Boris Johnson's reaction be justified? No doubt there are some who will try. He has no compassion and no respect for the little 4 year old and his family.

Newsflash: nearly everyone wants a fair, just society where people have the best opportunities in life; we just disagree with how to reach our destination.

Yeah, well you won't be achieving that if you vote Tory.

Poor little boy - he was sent to hospital in an ambulance by his GP but the NHS has collapsed and likely to get worse. Not enough staff and facilities and waiting lists getting longer. The A&E targets have not been achieved for months.

LizzieSiddal · 09/12/2019 17:44

I don't know if you have relatives who lived through the 1970s,

I lived through the 70s.

We run a medium sized business and employ 9 people. I've looked at the tax increases we would pay under a Labour govt and I am very willing to pay them.

greenlynx · 09/12/2019 17:49

Actually it’s bankers who brought the country to the bankruptcy.

BJ’s reaction was disgusting and ignorant. He could at least pretend that he cared. The photo was on Twitter posted by mum of the boy and rightly picked up by media. So it’s not a set up. The very thought that someone set up his child in a situation like this is unbelievable.

You're either very naive and have fallen for the lies, or you're being disingenuous, I hope it's the first.
Johnson is on record as saying inequality is a GOOD thing. A video of him saying this was all over Twitter yesterday.
Dominic Cummings is on video stating the Conservatives do NOT care about the NHS.

There are many other examples if you just look beyond the lies and crap the Cons spew every day.

he dosnt acknowledge his own kids so hes hardly likely to acknowledge someone elses.

HeIenaDove · 09/12/2019 18:02

I can’t believe people are still on here defending Johnson-it’s frightening.

HeIenaDove · 09/12/2019 18:15

After a swift name change f course.

HeIenaDove · 09/12/2019 18:15
  • of course.
Squigean · 09/12/2019 18:16

As far as I can make out he does glace at the phone, after he takes it out of his pocket. He does this whilst on camera and having had the report say "you've taken my phone and put it in your pocket".

This hardly makes the reporter a liar, because Boris Johnson did refuse to look at it and put it in his pocket. It does seem likely that he didnt see the picture as most phones go into standby don't they?

Though I think some on this thread can't be seriously posting, not with this:

"Er no, if Corbyn is in power on Friday the UK is fucked... in fact soon after he gets in power you'll lose access to the internet when they expropriate BT openreach and fuck up broadband for the entire country, run for the benefit of his union mates."

If they are serious. This is not someone of sound mind.

HappyHammy · 09/12/2019 18:18

Poor boy, who authorised his picture to be used by the media? he obviously wasn't able to.

'Who authorised the picture to be released'? Why is that relevant? I really don't get some of the responses. The bottom line is that a young child who was very ill at the time ended up lying on the floor as there was no bed available. If that was your child would you not have very real concerns? I certainly would and would be shouting about it from the rooftops. I admire the mother for releasing the information. It is cruel and heartless and BJ reaction to being asked about it shows how little he cares. Cannot believe some are still trying to deflect and talk about Jeremy Corbyn. This has happened on BJ's watch and as I said earlier he is the one ultimately responsible.

Tories forced into climbdown over claim aide was hit by Labour protester
Video later emerges showing adviser walking into activist’s arm

General election latest - live news

The Tories were forced to make an embarrassing climbdown on Monday after aides briefed that an adviser to Matt Hancock had been hit by a Labour protester in an incident that it later emerged had been innocuous.

Conservative sources claimed on Monday afternoon that the adviser to the health secretary had been hit by a protester at a Leeds hospital during a campaign visit. Aides initially briefed that Hancock’s adviser was “punched in the face” and tried to point the finger at a Labour “thug”.

But a video that then emerged appeared to show the adviser walking into a protester’s arm.

When the video emerged, aides were forced to acknowledge that it looked like the adviser was hit in the face accidentally, but still tried to turn the story on Labour by claiming the activists’ behaviour and language had been unacceptable.

West Yorkshire police later said they were “unaware of any reports” of an incident involving election campaigners at the hospital

Hancock had been dispatched to Leeds General Infirmary on Monday afternoon after a picture printed on the front page of the Daily Mirror showed a four-year-old boy lying on a ward floor because of a shortage of beds.

The incident happened as Hancock was leaving the hospital after visiting senior staff to talk about the case of four-year-old Jack Williment-Barr.

They were heckled with people shouting: “Shame on you”, “we do not want you in this country” and “you are not welcome in this hospital” as they both walked to a waiting car.

Earlier in the day the prime minister cancelled an election visit as protesters gathered at the venue near Bolton.
