Failed my driving test this morning. First attempt.

Feeling very sorry for myself this afternoon. Not like I expected to pass first time but it's knocked me for six.

I got two serious faults and six minors. At the end of the test the examiner went 'that wasn't very good, was it?' Well no, obviously not Hmm

Can't book my next test for over 2 months now. I was an absolute bag of nerves and now am throwing a pity party for one thinking that it's not going to happen. I've driven every week for two hours for nearly a year now. FWIW, I'm 28.

Has anyone been in a similar situation and come out the other side? Any advice would be appreciated!

I failed first time. Hit the kerb reversing round a corner. It was pre the new system with minors and stuff. It's not a reflection on your driving skills, more your nerves. Easier said than done but try to relax next time and remind yourself that your driving instructor believes you're ready to pass your test so you are good enough. Flowers

I failed 4 or was it 5 times?
I was 38 when I passed. My 1st driving test was a mighty disaster.
Worse than you - honest Grin.
But don't give up. Keep going and going and going. But have your pity party 1st. You will do it.
Apparently you have to eat a banana before you take your test.

I failed first time too - character building.

In the fullness of time I went on to train as a driving instructor! Grin
