We will know, who will be in power for the next few years.

Does that frighten you, cheer you or just meh you?

Anyone?
The Labour Party created the NHS.
It's of the most admired and fantastic health care systems in the world.
Boris/Tories are open in wanting you to pay for private care, no matter how old or young you are.
If you have any disease
Die now and save the Conservatives the bother.

It terrifies me that Labour could be in power.

HaHaVeryBunny · 06/12/2019 16:37

@ByAppointmentTo
Why?

I am MUCH more scared of another Tory government, especially one with form for lying.

I don’t trust a word that Johnson says.

IWorkAtTheCheesecakeFactory · 06/12/2019 16:51

All possible outcomes terrify me Grin

RebootYourEngine · 06/12/2019 16:53

I have zoned out to it all. It will be shit whatever party gets in as neither the Tories nor Labour are any good.

I have already sent my postal vote so I don't need to think about it until next week.

Choufleur · 06/12/2019 16:53

What terrifies people about labour? The conservatives have run services into the ground for the past 9 years and led by a bumbling, lying and incredibly privileged, self serving man.

I’m not delusional. I don’t think labour and perfect (they’re far from it) but the thought of bj in power for five more years terrifies me

ThisIsSunrise · 06/12/2019 16:54

It is terrifying, and is making me really sad. I have a feeling of dread in the pit of my stomach that I simply can't shift.

I see everything I hold dear disappearing in a maelstrom of hate and lies.

Aycharow · 06/12/2019 16:56

I'm horrified by the whole bloody lot of them to be honest.

Biscuitsneeded · 06/12/2019 17:01

My ideal scenario would be a hung parliament, Lib Dems agree to govern with Labour but not with JC at the helm, and someone sensible like Keir Starmer or Yvette Cooper steps up. I don't know if that is even possible but that would be my desired outcome! However at this stage ANYTHING but the Tories would do. there are some good, principled Tories with a moral compass but not in this current cabinet.
I dearly, dearly want Rees-Smug to lose his seat. And Raab. And Francois. Oh, and Johnson!

Waxonwaxoff0 · 06/12/2019 17:04

Terrified, as I think Conservatives will win again and everything will just get worse and worse.

Symptomless · 06/12/2019 17:04

I don't care anymore, at least I don't have to feel bad about the ensuing mess and continuing misery, rising poverty, homelessness, privatisation of NHS etc. It's the will of the people after all.

Costacoffeeplease · 06/12/2019 17:08

I don’t see a better or worse option, I don’t trust any of them. Can’t stand BJ but don’t like JC and couldn’t vote for him. However, I don’t have to think about it as I’m no longer eligible to vote, unfortunately

HaHaVeryBunny · 06/12/2019 17:10

I think there is an honest vote for Corbyn, from Gneration X.
We are not as cynical as the Tories/Boris

OP posts:
Baguetteaboutit · 06/12/2019 17:11

They're just a variety of bad options as far as I am concerned. I still don't know how (or even if, tbh) to vote and I'm in a swing constituency. I've always voted Labour. I even held my nose and voted Labour in the last g.e. even though I hate Corbyn and Bromentum. But fuck me, I just don't think I can do it again.

Costacoffeeplease · 06/12/2019 17:47

I’m generation x

Symptomless · 06/12/2019 18:38

I live in a tory stronghold, in many ways it's comforting to know that those who are worse off than me (due to a decade of cuts and couple of years of Brexit confusion) have happily accepted their fate and aren't looking to improve their lot for the next few years.

Twinklelikethechristmastree · 06/12/2019 18:40

Yes. I'm worried. I am worried about who to vote for.

Wishforsnow · 06/12/2019 18:42

I don't think the NHS is the most admired or that fantastic.

dreamingofsun · 06/12/2019 18:46

we had hoped to retire soon, and my kids are looking for jobs, or to keep the ones they have, so yes i am terrified labour will get in

Thestinkycheeseman · 06/12/2019 19:02

They are all as bad as each other but I really hope Labour do not get in

Choufleur · 06/12/2019 19:24

dreamingofsun aren’t you worried about jobs with the possibility of brexit without any trade deals?

dreamingofsun · 06/12/2019 19:27

hahaverybunny - yes i can see the attraction of voting labour from youngsters as they dont remember sitting in the dark because of strikes and not having your rubbish collected; sky high inflation; no jobs. older people remember what a marxist style labour government did and wouldnt want that again in their wildest nightmares

RedSheep73 · 06/12/2019 19:29

I think people on both sides are frightened the other side might win. I'm terrified, 10 years of shitty tory govt already and all they plan to do is make everything even worse.

TuttiCutie · 06/12/2019 19:30

Well we'll certainly have the results of the election.

It may take a day or two to sort out a hung parliament and coalition arrangements.
