Yes it's true. Wealth begets wealth. I've moved to Australia where the playing field is more level.

In general yes. I would say this is true.

But i suppose ita down to inherited wealth.

My bosses came from each families and met at private school. Their parents are professionals but inherited wealth as well. So the family is well off. Some of their friends they have known from school.

Their business is a manual business, most of the directors did the manual work at some point. So they are now wealthy too and borrow the bosses holiday home etc.

I was brought in as a director a few months ago. I don't come from wealth. Mum and dad just had normal jobs, dvro is a sahp and his wife has a decent paid job.

But here I am earning well and could, in theory, use my bosses connections to make holidays, days our cheaper.

When I moved house for example, they gave me a van for the weekend. Saved me money.

My son plays with their sons, so may grow up with friends who are wealthy.

That said, my best friend is the same best friend I had when i earned 25k. Dp doesnt earn massively. My best friend and her husband would also benefit from me borrowing a van, the bosses holiday home etc. She is a sahm and her husband a fairly low earner.
