A grilling for Jeremy Corbyn and a selfie with Boris and discussion about flapjacks.

FFS!

I've never liked Phil and Holly. I think Phil is rude and arrogant.

I'm just off to the homeless hostel where I volunteer at every week. Where we have seen over 100% increase in people coming to the door for food parcels since Boris's party introduced Universal Credit.

Womenwotlunch · 06/12/2019 09:34

Phil is an idiot
He’s trying to do an Andrew Neil, but is failing massively .,I cannot bear him

Susiesoap7 · 06/12/2019 09:56

Gross just gross! Boris will be lapping it up!

Moonmelodies · 06/12/2019 18:18

I guess these people assume their situation would be even worse under any other administration.

absopugginglutely · 06/12/2019 18:29

Shows what moronic right wing thickos Phil and Holly really are.
I will boycott everything they do from now on.
Idiots.

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 06/12/2019 18:32

I was shocked at this too. Surely as tv presenters, it's their job to remain impartial?

longwayoff · 07/12/2019 09:38

Has anyone put in a complaint?

Justanotherlurker · 07/12/2019 09:44

Has anyone put in a complaint?

Are they supposed to be neutral?

Also how to you feel about the leaked docs are Russian interference, in 2016 russian leaks helped Trump win, it's pretty obvious who Russia would want in power and it's not the Tories.

What mental hoops do we have to go through now

Poppet1974 · 07/12/2019 10:22

I’d expect nothing better from either of them, absolutely horrendous vacuous pair.
I often think Holly is secretly repulsed by Phil but can’t drop the best buddies facade for fear of damaging her career....

longwayoff · 07/12/2019 11:27

Yes, lurker, they are. Ramble off.

ForalltheSaints · 07/12/2019 13:19

The question that has been reported as nearest to a grilling was that over anti-semitism in the Labour Party. Perhaps it is something close to Philip Schofield's heart.

ssd · 07/12/2019 19:32

I didn't realise this. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 08/12/2019 06:28

I wonder why they keep bank rolling the Tories then? Hmm

Pixxie7 · 08/12/2019 06:40

Problem is Boris seems to have the ability to distance himself from the tories of the last decade and is fooling a lot of people.

Powergower · 08/12/2019 08:10

Phil Ange holly are disgusting, overpaid, unprofessional twats. Phil shouted at, and over, corbyn and made it clear he was a Tory. I can't believe so many people in the public sector (schools, nhs, local authority) are going to vote for the Tories, they've brought this country to its knees. Bj is unelected and already tried to suspend parliament. People are just ridiculously stupid, as pp said... turkeys voting for Xmas. Interestingly my teenage ds and ask his friends are convinced Corbyn will win but I'm v sceptical and the polls are usually accurate at this stage. Any nhs/ school workers voting the Tories better not start their whinging when their pay is frozen again and when ed funding is cut again.

longwayoff · 08/12/2019 13:20

'leaked Russian docs'? I suggest someone has a word with Dominic Cummings about that. They aren't Russian docs, nobody has denied that they are official government docs, they've just appeared via a Russian server. Ponder away on the Dark Arts.

Twinklelikethechristmastree · 08/12/2019 13:24

Very immature

happinessischocolate · 08/12/2019 20:39

I said to the women. If people keep on voting the Tories in this is never going to end. There are too many turkeys voting for Christmas. Her reply was I don’t trust Corbyn either so I’m not voting at all. I could be wrong but I sensed she was a shy Tory tbh. So even some those who actually work in these types places are in no rush to get these cretins out anytime soon.

There's an ex army homeless guy aged about 40 in my local town, I heard someone talking to him saying that they hoped labour would get in so people like him would get help, only for him to reply saying that he preferred the tories to labour 🤷‍♀️ there's just no helping some people

HeIenaDove · 08/12/2019 23:12

@happinessischocolate we have been talking about the same thing over on the Dispatches thread on the telly addicts board. Seen similar comments in the news from others in the same predicament.

Just wanted to say that I agree with lots of the comments on this thread 👍👍. Hopefully things will change soon. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

DianaT1969 · 08/12/2019 23:32

Is it fair to say that the Labour Party and regional offices knew that the general public didn't see Jeremy Corbyn as a leader? That there wasn't confidence in his (or the party's) choice of Diane Abbott in a pivotal role for example? Yet nothing changed. If they knew and weren't deluded, why, oh why didn't they field a fresh credible candidate and shadow cabinet? With BoJo, Priti Patel and the sleeze-riddled Tory party at its most dire, this is the election Labour could have had in the bag a year ago. It was theirs to lose.
