...how do you dress for bed at night that gives easy boob access but also means you aren't freezing?

Really struggling to cope without a snuggly duvet in this cold weather.

I'm in a onesie that has a front zip, I've had to borrow my husbands though as his doesn't have feet.

Xiaoxiong · 05/12/2019 21:25

I had some long sleeve bamboo nursing tops - they were too warm to wear in the day, but I used to wear them at night with heavy fleece pyjama trousers and socks and if I was really cold I slept in my big hooded dressing gown as well. Then when one of the kids needed to nurse there was only one boob exposed!

Xiaoxiong · 05/12/2019 21:27

I also used to wear a thick fleece of DH's with a half zip, which was really big and the zip came down far enough to let me nurse through the top of it. Kept my stomach warm while nursing!

GinaCarbonara · 05/12/2019 21:27

I thought this was about another reason for boob access and was cross that your partner seemingly didn't allow you a duvet. I am relieved.

This. And tuck the duvet under the mattress so it only comes up to your waist and you can't pull it up higher but keeps your legs and feet warm.

Xiaoxiong · 05/12/2019 21:33

Actually now I think about it I had a nursing thermal shirt from Boob as well, they had sweatshirts and hoodies and all sorts. Worth a look. I generally hated special nursing clothes with all their fiddly flaps for out and about, but at night while cosleeping they came into their own.

Concestor · 05/12/2019 21:39

Nursing vest with cotton cardigan.

zazzyzaz · 05/12/2019 21:41

Fleecy pyjama bottoms, fluffy socks, strappy top and zipped fleece. With a 3/4 season sleeping bag.

apple0pie · 05/12/2019 22:07

I used to wear a vest and think fleecy dressing gown !

zebraspot · 05/12/2019 22:16

Ah these are good ideas, thank you.
@ToTheRegimentIWishIWasThere - do you have a partner in the bed too? I like the duvet idea but can't see how it works with somebody else who wants a duvet at normal height?

I'm in joggers, walking socks, vest, long sleeved tshirt, hooded cardigan and a cotton snood round my neck. Once more unto the breach, friends...

Blimey. How cold is your bedroom?! Shock

DownWhichOfLate · 05/12/2019 22:20

Maybe add a woolly hat Xmas Grin

Sizeofalentil · 05/12/2019 22:22

Cardigans! My winter-born co-sleep-insisting dd almost froze me

Sunshinegirl82 · 05/12/2019 22:26

Slumbersac do an adult sleeping bag with feet! With warm pjs and thick socks.

Boobahs · 05/12/2019 22:29

Shock I'm still sleeping naked!

Teakind · 05/12/2019 22:48

I have a thick duvet that wraps over me from the waist down (tucked between my legs so can't go near my son). I usually wear a long sleeve top and just lift it up but in this weather I've been getting really cold so last night I wore a vest top underneath it and it worked really well.

I miss the summer!

Zippetydoodahzippetyay · 06/12/2019 01:14

Breastfeeding singlet, zip up fleece jumper and blankets to my waist.

TammyKat · 06/12/2019 01:16

I used a onesie that you could button or zip down

commentsbox · 06/12/2019 09:29

Dressing gown! But now DS is toddler, I just wrap duvet over me and sort of secure it on other side with a pillow so it's not over him. I wouldn't risk it with a baby

Also DH sleeps in other room at the moment as was being too disturbed so don't have to factor him in too but I suppose he could do the same

This may help -
