What insoles should I get for my boots please?

I have bought a new pair of boots and need some insoles in them. I need some that take the pressure off the Balls of my feet? They only have an inch block heel but after having them on a short while are a little achy on the balls so want some sort of cushioning? Any recommendations please?

I'd get gel full length ones.
The gel doesn't lose its bounce like fabric/fluffy ones does and being full length, won't wrinkle up inside the boot.

Any particular one? I love wearing the fluffy ones in winter to keep my feet warm as they do get cold. Any warm ones that are padded??

I have fancy pairs and Boots' own brand and cheapies off eBay.

The cheapies are heavier, but just as squidgy as the other ones.

I'd go for warmer socks and mid price insoles.

So do I need to have gel ones to help the balls of my feet? I don’t west heels often and not sure why a one inch block heel is making them ache! I struggle to get shoes and boots to fit me though as my feet are small, wide and I have low ankle bones Hmm

If it is the balls of your feet, then I can't recommend the Pedag deluxe, or splayfoot models enough. Having metatarsal support (not cushioning) has made a huge difference to my wide, painful ball of foot, feet

That is why. You have suddenly moved all the pressure from across your whole flat foot/heel to one putting everything towards the front of your foot. I'm the same (wear flat shoes all the time). If you did it everyday the pain would lessen as you got used to the redistribution.

Hmm ok, we’ll the boots I already have have a half inch heel so not completely flat, but that does make sense.
