Comfortable Walking Flip Flops

We are going away next weekend and every year, I always take impractical sandals and end up with awful pain in the soles of my feet when we've been on a long walk. Last year I tried both the Fit Flops with the large wedge heel and the flatter version and both were really uncomfortable.

Has anybody found any comfortable sandals or flip flops? I'm edging towards some without a toe post in the hope that'll remove some discomfort.

I've got sliders too which aren't comfortable for walking!

If all else fails, I'll take a pair of trainers. They just don't look the best with summer dresses Grin

My ones are the Skechers On The Go Tropical which are a bit prettier than some of the others.

Reef fanning flip flops are the best things I've ever had. Can walk for miles and they're so comfortable. I've wider feet and they're a blessing. £45 a pair I wear them all year round and they last 3-4 years.

Rocket dogs are the most comfortable flip flops I've owned. I've tried Skechers havianas and animal. For the past 3 summers I have bought a new pair of rocket dogs. The toe post is fabric not plastic so does not rub and the soles are very cushioned so you cannot feel every little stone you step on. They have lots of colours and designs to choose from and cost around £20.

They can't last very well if you have to buy a new pair every year. My summer sandals have lasted for years. And my FitFlop flip flops were bought when DD was at primary school. She is at university now.
