When did that happen?! I'm an embarrassing mum.

My youngest will still happily dance in the kitchen with me but my oldest (10) is getting less enthusiastic. Sometimes he loves joining in and sometimes he will leave us to it.

Today he must definitely rolled his eyes.

So I made the mistake of looking in the hall mirror while singing and jigging to a bit of the Cure and that is not how I look in my head!! Grin

I used to dance in the aisle at Tesco's, causing my sons to groan, roll their eyes and sneak away quietly.

Arh we have a kitchen dancing gang, lm dreading them wanting to leave it, there have been many burnt teas due to dancing (and mumsnetting)

Solong it is sad. Its all as it should be of course but still sad.

He still likes bedtime songs though so we do have that.

Singlenotsingle yes there is potential for fun!

In the meantime i'm trying to forget how old I looked!

Dont worry, they'll secretly love telling their friends about their family and all the querky funny things. And then at some point in late teens there will be quite a lot of cudos and their friends will be wishing they had a mum like you!

I always remember dancing and jigging DS around to the Happy song when he was a baby. It's his special song. He's 6 now and loves a dance around the kitchen which inevitably ends up with him hitting himself on something! I'm just making the most of it while it lasts.
Ps. Don't look in a long mirror ! Only the head height ones are acceptable Grin
