Stitches in my c section

Hi, 5 weeks after my c section I have a small whole in it, I have been to see the nurse 5 times to which she eventually removed some stitches that were left in and it was looking so much better until I took a picture and zoomed in and I can still see some stitches! What should I do? Has this happened to anyone else? So tired of a new thing to worry about every week 🙄

Any possibility they are dissolvable ones?

If they are deep and not on the surface they will be dissolvable ones and will go with time if they are kept covered up. Keep an eye on excess exudate, a bad smell or increase in pain... Can take time tho. Try to keep changing dressing to a minimum too... General rule I was taught is every change adds 6 hours healing time to wound. Hope it's better soon

If you're worried about it, go and get checked out.

I had a hole in my wound after my second. I was terrified I'd burst my stitches when I realised. Or had an infection. I went back to the hospital to have it checked. But it was just the way the wound was stitched back up. It sat awkwardly because it was my second section. It healed fine on its own, but 4 and a half years later, I can still feel where the hole was.

Mine didnt heal properly for around 10 weeks. The skin kept seperating at different parts of the wound and then would heal up. The odd stitch kept popping out too. Eventually it healed but I went to my drs surgery every week to see the nurse to check that nothing was festering in there.
