Hi
Im looking to set up as a seller on "not on the high street"

Anyone already using it ? Is it worth it ?

I think they take 30% of the final price , can you sell at crat fayres etc with the same stuff ?

Anyone buy on it ? the prices seem really high ( to me anyway) ,

Id really appreciate any info as a buyer or a seller, thanks

Sorry, I misunderstood. Good luck!

I would say Etsy customers are more into the handcrafted side of things. NOTHS shoppers are there for something original but they're not necessarily crafty folk.

Fandoms are going strong on Etsy so your mini HP spell book would be right at home.

You have to take on your own promo to get things out there of course. Not sure if it's still the same but you used to be able to join groups and curate your own collections to promote each other, for example.

If you decide to go for it, see how similar sellers are writing up their descriptions. You can get ideas for wording and tags that the right customers will find.

I sell on Etsy. Fees are about 10% if you don't use their advertising - I don't as I find I get plenty of sales through promotion on social media. I use Hootsuite to schedule my social media about a fortnight in advance.

I sell about 25% of my items to the USA, the rest is UK or Europe.

I've been on there for about 3 years and am currently on my 1500 (ish) sale.

Can't put a link unfortunately as it would be outing for me obviously but I like Etsy. It's easy to use, they don't demand a certain standard of photos and, as long as you're working within the legal policies of your country, you make your own rules about things like postage charges etc so you can offer courier, first class or second class postage depending on what you need.

thanks for all the advice, it has really helped.
Esty does look good for the HP side of things especially.
