Finding it hard to find info about my local candidates - Anyone else?

I'm in a safe Labour seat (well majority of 5000 last election).

I'm fairly politically engaged, however I'm finding it very hard to find information about local candidates standing in this election.
No-one ever canvasses us, no leaflets are ever put through the door.

I've been online this morning to find out who's standing. All I can find are names. I've looked up these names and found nothing at all. Just a list of names again and what party they're standing for.

Where on earth do I find out about local policy issues etc?

Surely it can't be this hard?

Have you looked them up on Twitter or FB? I have found that pretty useful.

The only one I can find on Twitter is the Labour incumbent. Nothing in the others that I can see. Mind you, they have fairly common names so there are hundreds. Nothing I can see that's stands out as a candidate.

I live in a relatively safe Con seat. The only contact I've had has been with the LD, who were actually third last time round. You'd think Labour would be going all out but no and I can find bugger all about the Labour candidate bar the welcome message on the local Labour website which is very generic.

I’ve always lived in areas which are safe seats. I’ve never had anyone knocking on the door to canvass my vote and I’ve barely had any literature through the door.

I’ve voted in every general and local election, but don’t ever feel that any of the candidates need or want my opinion or are concerned about local people. One party chose their candidate very recently, with very little information about him.

I expect the incumbent will be returned as he has for the last four elections. I shall vote, despite feeling that my vote is irrelevant.

I’ve had something from labour, just a small flyer, no one else. labour majority over the conservative 2176. But this was a strong leave area so surprised not to hear from someone, probably conservatives as there is a Brexit party candidate standing that might split vote.
