Do I need an air fryer...?

Basically, I am fat and lazy.

DP used to do all the cooking, lunches and dinners. We both did slimming world and I lost 3 and a half stone... Which has now gone back on and more.

DP no longer lives at home during the week and since he left I CANNOT get into the habit of cooking for myself. Its boring, no motivation to cook a meal for one, everything I make turns out disappointing, I often work late and can't be bothered by the time I get in. Basically... I hate it.

I've got into terrible eating habits of either absolute oven shite, takeaways or toast and cereal.

Would an actifry solve my problems or am I living in delusion that this sparkly new kitchen gadget will save my life?

I love my Actifry BUT I only use it for chips. Never tried cooking anything else in it!

We had a Tefal actifry which was really good for chips but would make the coating come off anything else (onion rings etc). We got rid of it as it got older and bought one with a drawer, which was rubbish for chips and not much good for anything else, so we bought another Tefal last week. Argos have got them for £90 atm.

Could you batch cook so you only have to do it once for the week?

I love mine and use it at least once a week to make chips but I don't think it will solve your problems as it's a bit of a faff in a way if you already feel like you can't be bothered. You have to peel the potatoes, chop them, and they take longer than oven chips to cook.

I second PP idea of bath cooking, then it will just be like having a ready meal but wwith decent home cooked food
