Your commute markers/people

So in a morning I do the school run and then dash to work.

There's a lollypop man - his name is David - who always waves at my son and me in our yellow car.

There's someone who parks a particular way that there just enough space for my little car to fit. Like my space has been saved just for me.

Once I have dropped DS off and am on my way to work, there's a young chap who walks along with his Mum with his headphones on. I know if they're coming down the hill I am running late.

There's also a car who leaves at a particular time, reversing onto the road. If he's gone I am late.

Then there's a man with a striped coat on crutches who walks down the road. It throws me if I don't see him on a particular bend and he's further on.

Who/what are your commute markers/people?

When working in the office:
If I see a specific bus waiting at a stop (they are not frequent at that hour) I'm good. If it's already moving, I'm late.

When WFH:
If I hear next door's noisy works van leaving, I'm late getting up.
If I can't, it means I am at the back of the house already working.
(If one of the cats is miaowing in my face for breakfast, I am SUPER-late!)

(Both scenario are "late" by my own timings/preferences, I don't need to be at work at any special time, but still...)

If I hear the noisy motorbike go into the factory behind I'm awake early. I know he arrives at 6.20 exactly.

There is a security announcement at my train station at exactly 6:50 every morning. I'm usually sitting down on the toilet having a pre-commute wee right about then. I know that means I still have 3 minutes to wash my hands and make my train. It's always a bad sign when I hear it and I'm just arriving at the station (no time for a wee!).

There's a tree full of noisy parakeets - I know I'm 4 minutes away from the station when I pass it
