He's made an official statement.

What his royal duties were?.. Don't you know he made very crucial important links with people. Like dictators sons and pedophiles.Confused

I think this interview will go down in history as the nail in the coffin of the royals.

The man, if he was honest and had integrity would have come out and spoken frome the start '' I'm horrified by the allegations against someone yes I thought was a friend. I've questioned myself, how did I miss all of this abuse, how. My heart breaks for those girls. I've questioned myself over and over, girls the same as my daughters. '' etc.

He can't do that because he doesn't believe it. Why did no one coach him on the the questions?
He doesn't believe it and of course its highly likely he had massages... And free sex with beautiful young girls he thought were there because they actually liked him.

I thought his biggest reaction was too the '' disgusting '' sweating remarks. He had a fleeting look of utter disdain.
The irony in his eyes of this slip of a girl... Saying he a Prince was a disgusting sweaty mess 🤔🙄😂.

Having to explain his sweaty Ness on national TV is some small tiny recompense.

BabyCountDown · 21/11/2019 07:22

Shame that he won't have to downside from the really expensive ski chalet like normal people.....

Miniloso · 21/11/2019 07:27

The whole thing disgusts me, I hope he has a good rest of his life being a pariah. Dick.

The money Prince Andrew receives is not public money. It is personal money the Queen makes from her own property portfolio, so it’s just a mother subsidising her son.

TartanTexan · 21/11/2019 08:20

Fergie’s tweet: ‘shoulder to wind’ think she means ‘wheel’. Wind may be more accurate.

MrsJoshNavidi · 21/11/2019 08:23

Truly an absence which will be keenly felt
😁😂😁😂

UnaOfStormhold · 21/11/2019 08:26

No work, no pay?

Bluntness100 · 21/11/2019 08:27

Andrew did receive public money, it's stopping and he will only still receive funds from the queen personally. Up until now he got both

EvenPhilip · 21/11/2019 08:32

Foreseeable future is permanently then, because Charles isn't going to be stupid enough to reintroduce him into public duties when he takes over.
Hopefully it will put an end to the leeching of that bloody awful Fergie woman too.

Aposterhasnoname · 21/11/2019 08:32

It’s been made clear that he will no longer receive his £250,000 a year sovereign grant. The queen however is highly likely to continue to fund him from her personal fortune.

Aposterhasnoname · 21/11/2019 08:33

Charles has long made it clear that when he becomes king he will pare down the royals to just the monarch and direct heirs.

MincedOath · 21/11/2019 08:33

So, basically, the rest of his life will be one long holiday. His family are at the top of the pyramid of inherited wealth in this country and the whole lot needs tearing down.

MsTSwift · 21/11/2019 08:36

Totally agree minced.

EvenPhilip · 21/11/2019 08:40

Minced, I'm not entirely convinced that his life before his enforced retirement wasn't much more than one long holiday?
Except now there will be no gifts/watches/cash payments/favours/villas/holidays/restaurant tables....

littlebillie · 21/11/2019 08:45

I know that many of the Royal family work with public engagements and hold senior roles on many charities, their names alone attract finance and sponsorship and benefit the country immensely. I think Andrew stepping down and engaging with the police is the right thing to do, but I would not tarnish what the Royal family based on his reputation.

Elodie2019 · 21/11/2019 08:52

He likes his golf and sailing 'charities' doesn't he?
There are quite a few of each on the list.

Dowser · 21/11/2019 09:05

We still pay for his protection
Which is wrong if he is no longer a public servant

They might think this will blow over...it won’t
It’s gone too deep
Especially at a time when austerity has bitten deep into our society
Five homeless people ( that we know of) died on our streets in the bitter cold of Monday night. It’s just shameful in this rich country of ours
Parents can’t afford to feed their kids before school and in the holidays
Heat or eat?
I’m not going to bang on and on
But PA had shone on a light on his Extremely privileged Life which just highlights the deprivation that so many of his mothers subjects are waking up to yet again this morning

After all..it was just a normal shooting weekend!

Yes, right!

He broke the first rule of monarchy
Never complain, never explain

Elodie2019 · 21/11/2019 09:10

5 pages of Badminton, Cricket, Golf, Sailing, horse charities in fact.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 21/11/2019 09:14

However will we cope Hmm

Weasel.

Trewser · 21/11/2019 09:17

There's nothing wrong with sports charities.

MakeMineALargeProsecco · 21/11/2019 09:18

Dowser - I agree with you.

In fact, I think this will be the beginning of the end of the Royal Family.

Once The Queen has gone, Charles will have a short reign as King.

William & Kate will do a good job & have public support.

Harry & Meghan, is they are wise, will be planning an exit strategy, probably abroad.

And the rest of the hangers-on will be gone.

Trewser · 21/11/2019 09:20

And there's lots of non sport related charities.

He's an arse, he's stood down which is good. No need to embellish the facts.

Span1elsRock · 21/11/2019 09:20

Prince Andrew needed to have a chat to William who seems to have silenced the media very effectively about his antics................

That statement felt like a hissy fit to be honest. He's lost nothing, has he? He will still be bank rolled by the Queen. The only losers are really his daughters - poor Beatrice won't be having a public wedding now like her sister did.

KnowBetterDoBetter · 21/11/2019 09:38

I read somewhere that he's being very careful with his wording, saying 'I don't recall' for example, as if he says he didn't do it, he could get sued for defamation - then if he lied in court, he could get charged with perjury. Thought that was interesting.

Not sure the Royal Family's existence is 'beyond reproach' like Boris says. I think we'll see the end of them in my lifetime. I mean, the majority of people are fond of the queen, I think - but who is particularly fond of Charles and Camilla?

There's a lot of distaste for Harry and Meghan (though I quite like them). I don't think the general public adore William and Kate, like they did Diana. There will have been a lot of calls for abolishing them once the queen dies anyway - but this horrific situation with PA will seal the deal, IMO.
