Or leave her to it?

But then she might get up at some ungodly hour of the morning.

But she'll be grumpy being woken up.

"Nope; I'm not tired Mum, just going to read in bed for half an hour before tea" Hmm

I would wake her

Pomegranatemolasses · 18/11/2019 18:11

Wake her. She won’t sleep properly later.

captainprincess · 18/11/2019 18:12

Is she unwell? Does she normally fall asleep at this time? If it's not normal I would leave her as she is obviously tired.

Nope she's tired make her a snack and put it in her room leave a note saying dont wake the house up

Vintagegoth · 18/11/2019 18:17

Go and check on her and see if she stirs easily. Has she had her dinner? If she has eaten and is in a deep sleep then leave her to it, she may be coming down with something. If easily roused then get her up.

LL83 · 18/11/2019 18:18

I would give her an hour then wake her for dinner or a snack.

lucysmam · 18/11/2019 18:59

She's absolutely sock on. I have the washing machine going & that usually wakes her up (right below her bedroom), plus I've been up to see if she's coming down for tea.

I'm off up for a shower so will leave the door open and see if that wakes her up. If not, I'll leave her to it.

captainprincess, no, she never sleeps so early! In fact, most nights she's still singing away to herself at 9:30 as I tuck dd1 up. I hope she isn't coming down with something; she's very grumpy when she isn't well.

Oh dear sounds like she might be. Good luck with a grumpy 9 year old Grin

BarbedBloom · 18/11/2019 20:13

I remember being that age and going to bed at 6pm and sleeping straight through. It always coincided with illness or a growth spurt. I would just leave her

lucysmam · 18/11/2019 20:15

Well, myself and dd1 aren't exactly being quiet, and the washer is on to spin, and she still isn't waking up so I guess we'll see her in the morning.

It's strangely quiet without her chattering away in my ear Grin

Leave her a snack and a drink by her bed. Might save her waking the house at 3am?

IncrediblySadToo · 18/11/2019 20:41

Ah bless...I hope she’s not coming down with something...with a bit of luck she’ll sleep it off!

IncrediblySadToo · 19/11/2019 08:10

Did she sleep through? How is she feeling this morning?

lucysmam · 19/11/2019 16:45

@IncrediblySadToo she did! She came down for a drink just before 9pm & went straight back to sleep.

She seems to be ok today too, I half epxected her being grumpy & poorly.

🤷🏻‍♀️She must have really just needed the sleep. Although as well as the nasty bugs there seem to be a few low grade ones around as well, so maybe something like that.

👩‍👧‍👧Fingers crossed you all stay well!!

🥃medicinal of course 🤣
