Teacher

My son has a fabulous teacher who is super busy at the moment. We want to take his teacher a coffee and breakfast before school tomorrow (we know he gets in early). Would that be okay or is it overstepping the line?

It's a lovely thought but if he gets in early it's because he has stuff to do. A nice card would be better.

Something nice to eat/drink at break would be better, it's often when you're too busy to grab a anything from the staff room and a nice treat gets you through the morning!

Take him breakfast or take him for breakfast? As pp said, I'm sure a card would be much appreciated, maybe a small box of chocs? Or you could take him a Costa coffee and a banana for breakfast 😁

Take him breakfast. Such as deliver a coffee and a muffin.
Not take him for breakfast, that sounds a bit too much! Grin

As a teacher, a hot coffee and a muffin in the morning would be amazing. Make sure you write a note to explain though, as children are notoriously bad at explaining and he might not understand it's for him as an appreciative gift x

As a teacher, I wouldn’t eat the breakfast or drink the coffee. I only drink tea and never eat breakfast (makes me hungry all day if I do).

A card definitely and maybe send a letter to the head to let them know how much you appreciate the teacher and the great job they’re doing.

ScarlettDarling · 18/11/2019 06:26

I would be sooooo touched if someone did that for me, and even if he isn't a coffee drinker he'll still be thrilled ( and can easily pass the coffee on to someone who will enjoy it!) I think it's a lovely idea and a small act of kindness which will make his day.

donutcross · 18/11/2019 06:29

@Nillynally thank you! I will do just that.

I think it's a lovely gesture. Someone gave me a free coffee on Friday, it made my day!

A parent bought me coffee once, about 7 years ago. It’s still one of my favourite memories and I was very appreciative.
