If you're making beans on toast for two adults, do you use one tin or two?

What size of tin? A small one each or a big tin shared is what I would do

HamptonThought · 16/11/2019 14:26

One

DeadBod · 16/11/2019 14:27

One 400g tin between 2.

DramaAlpaca · 16/11/2019 14:27

There's plenty for two in one tin.

BackforGood · 16/11/2019 14:29

One (unless you are using the diddy tins)

mclover · 16/11/2019 14:30

Ha great thread - one 400g tin for 2 adults.

TheReluctantCountess · 16/11/2019 14:31

One. But my DP would use two.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 16/11/2019 14:31

One 400g tin for two. One each would be bean overload.

BlackCatSleeping · 16/11/2019 14:34

Half a tin per portion, so one tin for 2 people.

DramaAlpaca · 16/11/2019 15:16

I'm just having a late lunch of beans on toast now. Thanks for the idea, OP. I've used half a 400g tin on two slices of sourdough. Yum!

BooksAreMyOnlyFriends · 16/11/2019 16:54

Interesting - a bit of a mix there! I usually use just one normal size tin (400g?) for me and dh, but dh made lunch today and did us a tin each. It was bloody lovely and definitely nicer than half a tin, but a teeny bit too much. I think a tin and a half would be perfect. With cheese on of course Smile

It's the same with tins of soup. One isn't quite enough for two, but two tins are too much.
