Underactive thyroid... low levels - too hot mid levels cold?

I always felt for me it was best to have as low levels as possible (approx 0.6 TSH) as that was what my readings were many years prior to diagnosis. I felt more energised but always red hot - think vest top and shorts with windows open in the winter whilst everyone else is wrapped up.

Suffering with fatigue again (I also have ME so hard to distubguish which is at play) and had my levels checked. They were 1.6 or so. GP said she would prfer to keep it there and explained the risks of it being too low.

Although now I am constantly whacked (Again, could be my ME) but also freezing.

Going to bed in pjs with a vets top under, cotton pj top, fleecy pj top, long bottoms and socks on. Under a teddy fleecy duvet and a nomral one.

This can't be "normal" for UAT?

How much thyroxine are you taking? When I was taking loads my internal heating system went hay wire and I was like you....in work in vest tops complaining of the heat. Now I'm on a lower dose I feel frozen.

I've always run hot - when TSH was 21 and still now when it's 1.

Never understood the "cold" UAT thing, it just never applied to me.

I'd medicate by how you feel and not what your number is.
