Peanut butter and marmite. I can't be the only one?

Peanut butter and marmite on toast is one of my favourite things to eat. I've got a friend here this morning who has just informed me that I'm a 'crazy food weirdo' and that absolutely nobody else in the world could possibly like it. Surely I'm not the only one? There must be someone else on MN who likes this perfectly normal, and totally scrumptious combo...

This is a combination I've been brought up with and had all my life, so definitely not weird! I'm old!

I ❤ peanut butter, loads of spring onions and salad.

Marmite is horrible, but I can eat Marmite flavoured rice cakes and cashews.

PB and marmite - add red pepper for crunch
PB and apple in one of those old fashioned toastie machines

Marmite and Tahini on wholemeal bread or toast is fab.

Toasted peanut butter and tomato. Been eating this regularly since the 80s

I made Marmite & PB sandwiches every week for a friend who never got them at home once the children grew up and used to pinch them when they had friends to tea.

I never tried it though, seems kind of wrong.

I am quite partial to an 'Elvis Special' - fried toasted PB, banana and bacon sandwich.
I suppose the marmite would serve much the same purpose as the bacon, adding an umami saltiness. But without the smeary, succulent bacon fat....
Add fat, add flavour, as the saying goes.

Hate both, cannot imagine how dreadful they would be together.

Was given it as a child in the 70s & have been eating it ever since. I prefer my own version to the one in the jar though.
