I’m on my knees exhausted with Insomnia and I don’t know what to do

When I get stressed, I get insomnia.

It was hanging around about six weeks ago, 3/4 times a week I’d only sleep 1-3h and 6-7 the rest of the time but 3 weeks ago I lost my job and am averaging between 1-3.5 (sometimes broken) every night for the last 3w

I am exhausted, on my knees exhausted. The next doctors appointment for some sleeping tablets is in 4.5 weeks. I cannot do this for that much longer.

I feel like over the years I’ve tried everything but I will take any and all suggestions please

I have chronic insomnia too and 4 hrs sleep is my max, it’s soul-destroying and I feel so desperate, you have my sympathies OP, I even stay awake through Zopiclone. Stress and anxiety definitely make things worse, there are circumstances at the moment which are out of my control and anxiety is very high so am more or less running on empty, have tried all sorts of apps, would love a warm bath but only have a shower, am going to read for a bit now, hope everyone else who struggles is managing some sleep

Yes I know the feeling, went to bed at 11 , got up again at 1 and am about to try again at just gone 2.30 . Night all .

I’ve tried Nytol and phenergan and nothing’s helped
How many Phenerganndid you take? The sedative dose for an adult is 25-75mg. Did you take enough?

Have a look at Weighted Blankets, OP. They come in at a variety of prices to suit most budgets. They can help with a variety of issues, including stress, anxiety and insomnia. Aim to find one that is about 10-12% of your own body weight.

Some people with Autism and Dementia also find them helpful.

Lack of sleep is something I absolutely understand, OP, with bells on in fact, and I hope things improve for you soon.

I love my weighted blanket.
Also cannabis butter if you can get it or CBD oil works well for many people
