Anyone know anything about photoshop?

I had a mini xmas photoshoot done of my children and whilst I knew it was only cheap so wouldn't be excellent quality the images all show terrible creasing to the back drop that the photographer used.

Does anyone know if there is a way to correct it on photoshop? Even if I could just neaten up one of the images I would be happy but at the minute I have lots of pictures, but not one great one I would want to put on the wall! I'm guessing it will be too big a job as it's a patterned back drop. Maybe if there was a way to remove the background from the image this would be better?

From my fairly basic knowledge you can use the magnetic lasso to cut out the background. It's a bit fiddly. I know you said it was cheap but can you not go back to the photographer and ask them to touch it up?

I will ask if it's possible for them to do it. It was a cheap deal and so I am expecting they will say any touch up etc is not included and I don't really want to give them any more money. It included 10 digital images and she has sent me 95! Of those there are 10 nice ones, but the best one of the 2 children together has the backgrounders creases in.

The photographer should offer this service to you for free. Touching up is pretty standard for professional photographers.

Is it patterned? You could smudge it or can you crop it out.

True story - I once spent ages touching up a photo for a R&A because some poor man had a terrible breakout of spots on his face and neck on his newly taken portrait shot.

Then my boss spotted it and told me that he actually had warts and moles - so I had to revert to the original.

Yes it is a pattern scenic xmas backdrop that has clearly been folded and so has fold/creases that are visible in the photos. We have some on a plain white backdrop which are fine so she will probably say the package was for 10 images and we have 10 decent plain white ones, its just that the nicest one is the one on the patterned (but creased) backdrop!
