Do I brave a dry night?

My DS is 2.5.
He's been potty trained for about 2 months now.
He only wears a pull up at night. This usually has a good few wees in in the morning.
However, I've noticed that in the day if he naps - even if he naps for about 3 hours - he won't wet himself when he's in underwear.
I'm not sure if it's just because he subconsciously knows that he's in underwear and can feel the difference between a nappy? I'm not sure but either way he never wets through when he's asleep.
When should I brave it and leave the nappy off at night?

I waited until there were dry overnight nappies before taking them off.

Double make the bed. Waterproof mattress pad. Sheet. Waterproof mattress pad. Sheet. - have an extra blanket available.

So nighttime accident means just strip the bed of the upper layers and go back to sleep.

I waited until they had had two dry nights in a row and it was very easy, never had a wet bed for either of them (thank goodness). This happened a few months after they were dry in the day.

Nighttime dryness is largely due to the production of a specific hormone. You can’t train it and if he’s waking up with a wet nappy then I would leave it.

No wait, if his nappy is wet in the morning then he'll just owe himself.

My daughter was dry most nights but drinks loads and often doesn't have dinner till after 6pm when I'm working. I tried it one night actually coz I ran out of nappies, oops! Of course she peed herself it was right through to the mattress protector that thankfully was waterproof!

She's not bn drinking as much now it's not so warm and her nappies are dry most mornings but I'm waiting till she's dry every night for maybe 2 weeks before risking it again!

Nope, they go dry when they’re ready. My 6 year old still isn’t totally dry. It usually takes quite awhile longer after potty training.
