If there is no presentation required, what tips do you have for preparing?

Read carefully through the job advert and check that you can give examples of times you have done all of the things they are expecting to do (or if you haven’t - think of transferable skills which you feel will make the transition easy).
Look up the job role online for other questions that they may ask.
Ensure you have answers for commonly asked questions eg. Strengths/weaknesses etc.
Look up company and find out as much as you can about them.
Think of at least a couple of questions you can ask the interviewer- I usually like to ask what they enjoy about working for the company.

I’m in the throws of job hunting myself so that’s what I’m doing

It depends on the type of interview. I try to research the background of the company and what the role is asking of me and research that. Civil service interviews are competency based and they'll tell you the competencies ahead of time. The best way of answering is by using the STAR method it's relatively easy to shape your answers this way and keeps you on track and not waffling.

What job are you going for? When's the interview?

Also make sure you know where you’re going and who to ask for so you’re not a sweaty mess when you arrive!

The role I'm currently in I prepped by doing as advised above, research the company and job role. I also looked for reviews on the company on Indeed I think it was to get a flavour of past employees experiences.
