Went to stay with a friend last week, another minging friend was there who has a self proclaimed "relaxed" attitude to the fact that her cat has fleas. She had lots of bites on her legs so her house is definitely infested.

Discovered my first bite two days later, four more since then. Yes she's transferred her minging fucking fleas onto us and presumably they're in our flat. I know this can happen.

What's the quickest most efficient way to kill them? I'm not interested in constant hoovering and fucking around with tape and the like. I just want to set off a couple of foggers before we leave for work in the morning and come back and they're all dead. We don't have any pets and no one has asthma.

Please give me your best most drop dead recommendations to get rid of these things.

If you dont have animals, they wont last long.

R.I.P fleas worked for us...
We had one room we couldnt use it in and we used salt.... The salt worked amazing.

Thanks, I'll give it a go.

I know that they'll likely die off eventually but I can waiting and we've got carpets, it's winter so the heating is on which I know they like so I'd rather just deal with it and know it's sorted

Indorex flea spray. Don't waste your money on buying anything else.

Cats had dreadful fleas last year, despite our using Stronghold regularly (it's much better this year, we've not seen many at all) so we tried everything, of which one of the most successful was Indorex spray; we also found a battery powered comb that zapped the little blighters when it encountered them as we were combing the cats. If we were using the non-zappy-comb and just a normal metal or plastic one, we used to make sure we had a bowl of water nearby with a bit of washing up liquid in it so that when we did get the fleas off the cats we could put them in there and they didn't jump back out.

Once we'd gotten rid of most of them, an option that we thought worked well, though the vet poo-pooed it, was a herbal collar. And we did have to disinfect the whole flat to make sure there were no eggs in the carpet or bedding and wash everything that we could on a hot wash. Everything else got sprayed with a Hibiscrub formula which we got at the local pharmacy.

I think we had to get the Indorex from the vet, if I remember rightly.

Another vote for inodex. You can get it from amazon

Donno if it’s available in the UK but hydrogen cyanide is extremely effective.
