My little buggers were up 4 times last night, and then for the day at 5.45, so I need to remember why I love them.....

They have such gorgeous chunky little bodies with sticky out tummies and chubby hands.

If I sit on the floor, they launch themselves on me in an insane fit of excitement.

They get hilarious fixed delusions, like right now DD2 has decided cows say BOO instead of moo, and she jumps out suddenly at cows/ pictures of cows.

They are so excited by everything - walking on a path, a leaf, the sky.....

Tell me about your adorable toddler. Schmaltziness completely acceptable!

My little girl is 2.5 years and is currently spooning me. 😂 Shes been doing it for a while now in the mornings, she wakes up and pushes her cuddley warm little body as close as she possibly can to my back and puts her arm around my neck. Its wonderful because I'm 30 weeks pregnant with her baby sister and my bump gets in the way of 'proper' snuggles at the mo!

Also she has the fluffiest hair ever, its like lovely soft beige cotton. And she thinks she can do magic and keeps turning her Daddy and I into dogs, cars, monkies, princesses, etc.

She never stops talking, and when shes not talking shes singing - her Dad and I are completely in love with her! ❤

They are little narcissistic dictators wrapped up in cuteness that can only be appreciated after a good night's sleep or about 10 years. Otherwise you are literally pulling your hair out and holding back a primitive yowl of "BUT WHYYYYYYYYYYY??" as they sit doing something utterly incomprehensible to a sensible adult. Like yelling at people looking through their car window, or because you just did exactly what they demanded but it was still the wrong thing to do, or their total confusion at the disappearance of the food they have just eaten themselves into their own mouth.

My 2.5 year old dd says mummy I got something to tell you, I say what is it, she says I Love You! Then she'll says I got something else to tell you, You're a princess! She is so lovely, she melts me, the best thing is her cuddles, those little arms around my neck are enough to take any problems away. 2-3 is the best age definitely.

ListenLinda · 05/11/2019 09:37

My 2.5 year old DD is just amazing. I love the way she sings and plays and laughs. She has recently started saying ‘i love you too mummy’ awwww she is at nursery today and now I miss her and want to give her a massive cuddle! Smile

Modestandatinybitsexy · 05/11/2019 09:40

A kiss can make any bump better, he's forever bumping into things and then running up and demanding the offended area be kissed.

If he wants something he'll try and swap for it, we were at a group and he kept bringing this other boy a string of different toys to see if any took his fancy more than the toy laptop he was playing on and DS desperately wanted!

He's such an adorable bundle of energy and I needed this thread as my pending migraine is threatening a cloud over today.

Worlds0kayestmum · 05/11/2019 09:43

My 2.5 year gives the greatest cuddles. Last night we had to drop his sister off at brownies and it was dark. He kept shouting that his eyes had gone dark, bless him.
This morning he took his duvet downstairs and told us all repeatedly that he was 'warming up' and then 'I farted'. 😂😂😂

He exhausts me but I love him so much

bobstersmum · 05/11/2019 09:54

Another thing she does every single day when she notices its gone dark is shouts mummy mummy LOOK! The lights have gone off again!

Sweetpeach3 · 05/11/2019 10:13

My DS is 3 and every night he stands at his gate in his room an shouts mummyyyyyy then he comes and spoons me all night whilst I have to stay awake and tickle him or he gets cross at me haha. I could just watch his cute face sleep all night and his little button nose and podgey Tum

Dd is 2 and she's my princess peach. She's such a madam and how she has the biggest pout when she kisses you and her dance moves are fanstatic haha her choice in music not so much! The way she farts and finds it hilarious and if you tell her to stop picking her nose she will pick it then pretend to eat it- eeew !

I think when you are over tired you forget why you love them so much!
Because when they wake up at 2am wanting to watch peppa or a Chinese Chanel on YouTube you'd happily run away to another house just for a decent night sleep! X

She demands that we recite Dr Seuss whenever we go to the Sainsbury’s Cafe (her favourite place in the world). Yesterday we got halfway through Cat in the Hat before I noticed that two tables of pensioners were watching the performance Grin.

She starts each morning by going to her kitchen and saying “Cup a tea?” in a thick Northern accent. I’m South African, her dad is Russian, we’ve no idea how this started. We don’t even drink tea!

TotallyKerplunked · 05/11/2019 11:39

My youngest DS is 2 tomorrow and has a speech delay. Over half term he started saying mama which absolutely melted my heart but then he decided to follow and say it repeatedly at me then getting all excited when I responded. It's such an achievement but after a few hours his older siblings were telling him to shut up!

He starts the day at 4am and we sit and share a cup of tea and biscuits before the others get up, it's tiring but he loves his little routine.

thetinytyrantsmother · 05/11/2019 11:42

Dd is 2.5 and currently sitting on the living room floor doing jigsaws then shouting "look mummy!" every time she completes one. This is after climbing in our bed at half 7 this morning and demanding cuddles with her little chubby hands wrapped round me. She went back asleep until half 9 so I'm feeling wonderfully refreshed and just keep staring at her in amazement. I can't believe I made a whole person who's so funny and loving. I'm currently 33weeks pregnant with ds so think the hormones may be at play but I just wanna cry with happiness at the fact that this lovely little girl is mine Blush

Lovely thread. Smile

My 2.5 year old is brilliant fun. And she finally started sleeping through and napping after two years of refusing. I love that she gives me enormous cuddles when she hasn't seen me for a whole hour or so, and if I carry her downstairs she will pat my neck and snuggle into my shoulder and say 'ank 'oo. I know I shouldn't find the mis-spoken words cute but I do.

Also she giggles hilariously at any tiny thing, especially if she thinks she's being cheeky.

Whenever DP or I comes back from a long journey without her, she hugs us together and says delightedly 'two mummies! two mummies!' and if you ask her how many mummies it is best to have, she yells 'two mummies'. This makes me very happy even though I know she doesn't really understand. She likes to point at us at nursery time and show her friends she has two of us.

Also toddler clothes are the best things, and toddlers make boring stuff like going round the supermarket fun. And they make it legit to talk nonsense in public.

SarahAndQuack · 05/11/2019 13:25

@thetiny, no, if that's hormones I have them too and I'm definitely not pregnant! Grin She sounds adorable.
