NYE in York suggestions

Me and my boyfriend are planning on visiting York for new year. Where would be good to visit, drink, eat? We aren't massive drinkers. We will be staying city centre.

How are you with crowds? And waiting? If you don’t mind them, you could consider going to see the ball drop in Times Square. Personally I wouldn’t. Your feet will get stomped on. People will block your view. Someone is bound to bump into you.
New York City venues pull out all the stops on New Year's Eve. It's a great night to catch a top live act.
For something a bit different you could take a Brooklyn Bridge walking tour. You get tidbits about the history of the bridge and a stop on the bridge to take in the skyline and lookout for fireworks. It’s a fun event that offers amazing views and a chance to do something a bit different.
If you’re feeling up for it, head out to Prospect Park in Brooklyn. A beautiful park worth exploring on its own, New Year’s Eve will be celebrated with fireworks and live music. Starting at 10:30 at Grand Army Plaza, check out some music and grab some hot chocolate and find a spot to wait.

Times Square is over rated and best avoided.

Think op means NYE in York, not New York, looks like NYE means being misread as NY!

I was there yesterday but didn't notice anything promoting NYE events... It is such a lovely place it would seem a shame to be stuck indoors weather permitting, and I'm sure it will be amazing outside on the night
