I wanted to know how much a family ticket to the studio tour in Watford was without buying there and then.

Website suspiciously unforthcoming as was Google Hmm

Tried to do a dummy booking that I would cancel before paying and the site wouldn't let me put it in the basket kept saying error

Does anyone know the price for a fact off the top of their head?

Website says £150 for family of 4. You can't buy there and then, you have to book weeks/ months in advance.

I’ve just paid £150 for family of 4. Can’t pay on day. Need to book months in advance. I booked end of july for October half term and tickets were limited that far in advance. We spent over 5 hours on the tour so it was worth the money x

Yes I was trying to do a dummy advance booking I would then exit but for some reason it wouldn't let me and I kept getting an error message.

Thanks for letting me know

I took my Harry Potter mad partner for the tour in January 18 to catch the end of the Hogwarts in the Snow exhibit.

I wan't to say it was around £85-£90 for the two of us, but I can't remember if I got any extras on the ticket, like if the audio headset costs extra.

The online system is REALLY temperamental as its live so all the people around the world booking (putting tickets into baskets...etc) its a CRAZY busy system - one minute a date/time is available and the next it’s gone!

I’ve been to the tour a few times (big fans) and have never found it easy to secure a time/date for tickets to buy online.

I believe the £150 is correct for the family ticket - just try and jump on availability when you can!

In terms of additional costs (ignore if not helpful)

  • pictures taken on the broomsticks/flying car are really very good and have cool CGI- you can’t scoot kids past it without them missing the ‘flying through the streets of London’ interactive CGI which is super fun we got two pics and cost about £25 but if you all get into a flying car pic then you can get away with just one photo (a lot of families do this).
  • The butter beer/ice cream (at the half way restaurant) is worth a try BUT quite an odd taste - would recommend buying just one and sharing so each person can try (highly doubt you’ll want a full one)!
  • There are smaller gift shops all the way around (platform 9 3/4 is particularly good) however the end of the tour gift shop is HUGE so I’d recommend holding children off until you get there! A lot of the stuff is VERY expensive but there’s also plenty for

Good tips above! We had a good lunch before going in and a picnic hotel room supper afterwards.

God is that how much it is now? We went five years ago and it was £100 and then again two years ago and it was about £120 I think.

It’s very good though. You’ll love it. Dd1 wants to go again to see the Gringotts bank.

OK - fessing up

I've been 😂 it's brilliant

I was trying to see how much a family ticket was for a Christmas gift

And it's actually WAY out of budget sadly
