I feel a bit fed up really. Been diagnosed with IBD and chrones and I’m pissed of. Pissed off that I may have to have surgery in the future. Pissed off that after fighting to leave an utter bastard get my life on track get a career etc I now have this shitty. Disease to deal with . Luckily I think I have only accrue chrones so that’s not too bad . But the pain and the flare ups are crap. Whilst being really reluctant to take any time off work as I’m training to be a teacher and I’m doing really well at it so I just battle through a flare up.
Moan over sorry just sometimes life’s pants.
Lots of good though in the world like orange twirls and other lovely things.

Poor you, hoping you feel a bit better soon

Don't battle through, get to the doctor and keep going back until you have drugs that work. It isn't like IBS where you can endure the bad bits, you have inflammation and ulcers which can get worse if ignored.

Once you get on good medications, you'll wish you'd done it sooner.

Once you get on the right medication you will feel much better. It took me about 4 years unfortunately. It is a horrible illness. I was diagnosed with Crohn's at 21.

IBD sucks. But if you get your medication right you may not need surgery... I have two family members with IBD.. one has had severe Crohns for 10 years.. every treatment going (she's 27), but still has her colon. My youngest son has Ulcerative Colitis (he's 22) and while we haven't got it into remission yet (he was diagnosed nearly a year ago but has autism and isn't great at noticing his symptoms..we tend to spot the loo full of blood) he is better than he was, on meds and there are lots to try... he's currently on a mix of pills steroids and steroid enemas.
Do join the Crohns and UC UK if you haven't already. (you also get a 'can't wait' card and a Radar key which we have found a god send for our son)

It is a crappy disease (literally) :/
