DD has vomiting bug since last night and cold virus. Spoke to gp earlier but forgot to ask a couple of things.

She was last sick this morning and has kept milk from lunch down. Whilst gp said to offer milk, they didn't mention food. Should I offer her toast later as well?

What about calpol? More for the cold but will that make her sick?

Thank you, anxious mum, first baby.

Unless a high temp, or obviously in pain I wouldn't give Calpol.

Maybe plain toast this evening if she hasn't been sick again. I would try and keep her fluids up though. Will she drink water as well as milk?

She's had a little water on and off, took a while as in the night she was sick every time she had some so I think she was blaming that.

No temperature just now anyway. Thank you

How old is she? If she isn't very young then don't offer milk as dairy can really upset the tummy after a bug

How old?

Breast milk or formula?

When my little one had a bug over night I offered her plain toast and banana in the morning and only gave her water and she was fine, just offer small amounts throughout the day

Just turned 1. Doctor said to keep offering formula and water. She's not fully onto cows milk yet so have avoided that. Weaned from breast now.
