All makes sense when you actually think about the portmanteau.

I think in Germany, it's Jin-gis or Jen-gis, and Turkish it's more Chen-giz - but standard for the UK is Gen-Giss. I think it's more correct to almost aspirate the first G, which is maybe where the Ge-Hen-Giss comes in
