Briquettes for stove

I have a multi fuel stove, it's been in for years. I've tried not to use it because wood sets off my asthma and coal, only ever use smokeless, is bad environmentally
I can't afford to have the central heating on as much as we would need to keep warm though so I've been looking for alternatives
Briquettes claim to be carbon neutral and recycled. Does anyone use them that can advise pls
Do they give off much heat and where are you buying them from?
TIA

I buy briquettes from B&Q and also the ones made from Coffee Grounds. They give off a lot of heat and last a long time.

Do you seriously think the smoke from your stove will cause the world to end.

Just buy fuel, light the stove and keep warm.

If you're talking about a cast iron stove in one room I find it hard to see any way that using it with fancy briquettes is going to be cheaper than central heating
