Silly gym question

I have just joined a gym and would like to go in the morning on the way to work. Silly question but how do people manage with taking work clothes to the gym to change into afterwards without getting them creased etc and without taking a huge bag? Also how do you do your hair and makeup afterwards?

Most gyms have mirrors and sockets in the changing room so you can do hair and make up there. Might have to take your own hair dryer though especially if it’s a budget gym oh and a padlock for your locker.

Clothes for afterwards well depending on what you wear really I’d neatly fold and put them in a separate locker so you might need two padlocks.

Blow dry your creases. Obviously it doesn't work with really creased stuff but it works well on lightly creased items. I know this because I am a slattern.

I used to bring a big bag. Sorry that's not helpful but it's what I had to do!

Go to the gym in work clothes. Hang them up when you get there and change into gym gear.

Sometimes I wear my work outfit to the gym and change into gym clothes there. Saves trying to fold things into a bag without creasing them too much and my bag has my make up bag and straighteners, towel, toiletries etc in it. The lockers at mine have a hanger in so I can hang it ready to put on afterwards. I've also seen ladies bring their clothes in in a suit hanger. I also buy clothes based on their 'creasability' Grin

I drive to the gym and often leave my work top in the car hanging up and just put a vest top on to leave the gym, then put my top on in the car to avoid having to cram it in a locker

I tend to wear dresses for work so would probably need to be able to hang them and some are v creasable

Did you look to see what facilities the changing room has?

I have a gym-specific routine which I have pared down to as little as possible, so I don't have to take so much stuff. So travel sizes of everything; if I can get away with it, hair unwashed in a bun; if not then wash, blow dry fringe (there are driers there) and rest in a ponytail; cream eyeshadow/blusher applied with fingers. The "wet" body lotions you put on in the shower are my latest timesaver...

I leave my clothes out and roll them up to put in bag, then when I get there hang them up (hangers provided) so they will be a bit creased, but I try to plan so that I am not wearing my most creasable clothes on a gym day. If I really need to wear something that will crease, I carry it separately on a coathanger (and drive there).
