Wool jumpers really bobbly - what to do??

I have lots of wool and wool blend jumpers. They become bobbly really quickly - I must be doing something wrong as many of these are second hand and they come to me bobble free!

I have one of those comb type things, that takes ages to de-bobble a garment. I've heard that you can take a razor to them. Does this work? To de-bobble, not to slash them in a disgruntled frenzy Grin

Any tips for keeping wool jumpers non bobbly or removing them when they happen??

They're so warm!! Don't want to relegate them to home wear.

Following as I have the same problem, jumpers and cardigans end up a bobbly mess for me after about a week.

Use a razor and shave them off

I heard there are special wool razors for these that gently remove the bobbles. German cashmere brand Repeat sold them in the past, not sure if they still do.

Shave with a razor

You can buy electric de-bobblers now. I have one like this on my wish list.

GC026/00 Fabric Shaver, Blue [[https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00E3862DE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_GKAUDbKBM1E3?tag=mumsnetforu03-21B]]

Will have a go with the razor. God, there'll be holes all over the show. Good job I didn't pay full price for all these!
