Need more info - have they given you anything in writing? Are you on gardening leave? Why do you have to re-apply?

I work for NHS too and don't see people being redeployed very often - maybe to a different clinic but it's not classed as a break in contract / employment.

I was studying at Uni and employed by NHS at the same time. A specialist nursing type of role 50:50 uni and employment.
Unfortunately I have messed it up and they have decided I won't meet competencies and have had to leave the course ( more complicated than this but this is the bare bones)
So I am in redeployment for another role.
Not sure what gardening leave is, but a quick Google suggests I am in this.
It's a crap situation :(

I’m NHS HR. You would be paid for the period on the redeployment register (12 weeks). Have they given you notice to coincide with the end of the redeployment period?

NeedAnExpertNo notice period has been given to me. But the policy they did suggests that this will happen if nothing suitable is found within the 3 months.
There was a delay in sending the redeployment paperwork and I've also been off sick with stress/depression :( Will this affect the 12 week period? Worried that they will try and push me into a hospital job I really don't want :(
So grateful for your thoughts.

They will need to look for a “suitable alternative” role. If they can’t find one you’ll be issued with notice (paid). If they do and you decline it you’ll be dismissed without notice pay. Hopefully they will find you something and you will then get a trial period to see if it works. If not you would be given notice (paid).

The policy should be available to you.
